Up-cycling, re-use, pimp you're house

Sometimes renovation or interior design is as simple as adding little details to already existing elements. Ofcourse you can HACK anything :

add a nice piece of old Red-Cedar to an ikea-shelf, glue cork flooring to the wall as pin-board, paint existing furniture, give it legs, add, subtract and re-arrange!!
